GALLERY is pleased to announce Miyako Kanamori solo exhibition
"nui-gurumi" from 29th May - 20th June, 2009
at FOIL GALLERY.
After graduating from the university, Miyako Kanamori
has made nui-gurumi (stuffed-doll) since 1998 and has
introduced those works in some publications or exhibitions.
The amiable rabbit or gorgeous bird - the animals she
makes from worn-out pairs of socks or knitwear have been
fascinated the fans both in Japan and abroad. Particularly,
the materials from popular fashion-brand like mina perhonen
or Kate Spade, have flavored the dolls' faces more eloquent.
Not a single doll look the same - this softly reminds
us that, we, in the real world, can not be the same but
have own individual light.

dolls will be gathered here at FOIL GALLERY, you'll be
invited to the sweet world of nui-gurumi!
