the heroines of soap opera.
The photographer Tomoaki Makino takes fresh view of the middle-aged
women of his mother's generation with his first photobook.
Tomoaki Makino Profile
Born in Saitama, 1980. Graduated from Tokyo Polytechnic University
Department of Photography. The past solo exhibitions are "antenna"
at gallery Jy in Tokyo and "After Noon" at MUSEUM52 in London.
Won a prize at "3.3 graphic art/ photography (Hitotsubo-ten)"
by Recruit Guardian Garden in 2000 and 2001. In 2002, he won the New
Photographer encouraging prize by Fuji Photo Salon. In November 2005,
he exhibited his works in Australia.
