Pop but cynical, floating wonderland with full of mysterious humor - a painter, Ryoko Aoki's first book extensively collected her fascinatingly imaginative works of from her drawing masterpieces with colorful botanic motifs, the earlier works, sketches on a scrap book, to snapshots she took and brief prose-like notes.

Ryoko Aoki Pofile:
Born in 1973, Hyogo, Japan. Holding MA Visual Design of Kyoto City Museum of Arts. Her major exhibitions include: "Donai Yanen! Et Maintenant! La Creation contemporaine au Japon," Mausib de la culture du Japon a Paris, Paris (1998), "CRITERIUM 51," Art Tower Mito, Ibaraki (2001), "HAMMER PROJECTS Ryoko Aoki," HAMMER Museum, Los Angels (2007), "The Door into Summer: The Age of Micropop," Art Tower Mito, Ibaraki and Documenta12, Kassel (both 2007).
